YOGA & me

YOGA Lesson one

I loved it!!

I wasn’t very good, but I have been practicing at home. I was nervous, but I was made to feel extremely welcome by Janet and Kirstie who gave us examples and stories to follow.

I caught-up with Sun Salutations (I missed last week) and we all went through Warrior one, two and three.

Why did I love it? The space is gorgeous and I felt at home. The guides are lovely, very open and don’t make you feel daft or lacking if you can’t do something well. It was a chance to sweat a bit and feel out of the ordinary and think differently.

I will be back on Thursday.

I really want to be good at Yoga

I think I will love yoga, I want to love it with a passion that means I am fulfilled by practise. I am not sure I will ever be good at it, but I am going to give it a really good shot. Tonight, I join the beginners class at The Yoga Studio in Carlisle. I missed the first class last week because of work (of course!) but will commit to the next few weeks.

I am semi-fit, but I know I am not flexible and whenever I concentrate on my breath, I start to panic and breathe too quickly. I am also nervous about being rubbish and maybe falling over.

I want to try yoga, because I would like to learn to quiet my mind and I have always been interested.

So I shall wish myself luck and update you later.Stress Relief

The Journey Begins

‘Let’s not collect positive quotes; let’s create a positive life’ 50 is the new black

So, it’s been all change for me the past 12 months. Some changes I chose, some I didn’t but I will not regret any of them! This blog is to serve as a very public diary, but also to experience and investigate new things, new life – so you can choose not to. Below are the most wonderful 50th birthday gift from one of my closest friends – three months of flowers.

Let’s pick this special birthday as the jumping-off point…..July 2018
